Rice Cereal

Last night, Shawn and I decided to break out the rice cereal. Emeline couldn't figure out what we were trying to do to her.

She's not a fan.

We might have a long row to hoe, as they say. This little one isn't a fan of change. It's not surprising. Her parents aren't huge fans either. She eventually adapts, but it takes her awhile.

For instance, consider her baths. Here's how she felt after her first bath:

It took three whole months of bloodcurdling screams and a nervous, jumpy mama who was sweating by the end of the ordeal before the smallest member of our family could finally enjoy her time in the tub:

At least she doesn't mind having cereal smeared all over her face. Apparently, in the Hoover household it's all about baby steps.

Baby steps.

  1. Who is that tiny child you're holding in the third picture?

  2. Oh once she decides she likes to eat she will never stop!
    What a cutey!

  3. philip announced today that simon looks like emeline. hmmm. draw your own conclusions.

  4. Yay for food! Yay for Emeline and yay for Mommy!
    Love you!

  5. Anne: I refuse to draw conclusions until you send me a recent picture of Simon. :)

  6. Shawn, I said the same thing! Albeit, I'm not the father of that child...
