Quick update

Sylvie received transfer orders this morning and is now in the much nicer, much quieter heart center! The incessant beeping and alarming monitors are still with us but silent in the room. The first nurse we saw up here is, of course, covered in butterflies. With all the pokes and drugs gone and another day of recovery under her belt, Sylvie is almost 100% herself. She is kicking around and absolutely thrilled to have her left hand back.

  1. I can't get over how great she looks - and the incision area seems so small! Glad you got to move up/out....Nicola

  2. The incision is looking slim. I've gotten lazier about hiding it for pictures. I'm not sure what to expect the chest tube hole to look like when that bandage comes off. Monica was there when they slithered it out.

    1. Slithered is correct, but I'm sure you just made everyone cringe with your choice of words.
